Goodbye Vegas! The two-wheeled transient is now heading farther north into the Lake Mead national recreation center. We will be here for a few days and then it’s up to Utah! See you soon, mormons.
COMMENT! Let us know your thoughts, please. Being bullied is not fun. However, is it necessary? Bullying is behind some of the world’s best art, music, and comedy.
According to educators, bullying also serves a purpose amongst children as a way to shape cultural norms. We operate inside very narrow windows as a society. People mostly act in accordance with specific social norms. Bullying amongst the youths is a way to ensure those who stray too far from the path get course corrected. Bullying, in its own way, helps to maintain the social order.
So, is bullying necessary? Sometimes, it appears, it is. Can it go too far? Absolutely. We will discuss some potential cons of when bullying goes too far in our next reel.
COMMENT! Let us know your thoughts, please. Yesterday we discussed why bullying could be seen as a necessary evil. Most of you (91%) agreed that it was. The other 9% stated they were just looking for Shrek memes.
When bullying goes to far its horrible. Mean spirited actions done to gøød people for mean spirited reasons … I mean that one is a hard one to wrap your mind around. Is there some sort of trade off you are willing to put up with? A la “ones who walked away from Omelas” style?

Joshua Tree national park. Mt. Baldy, CA. Lake Mead National Recreation Area. What do these three things have in common? In all of them - I believed I wasn’t going to make it out. I grew up on the east coast. It’s pretty hard to get consequentially lost there. 50 miles in any direction, no matter how big the park or nature space is along the I-95 corridor, you are always going to find your way back to something. You always have cell service. I have yet to learn that it’s a little different out west. As I found out around Lake Mead, it is VERY possible to find yourself in a sticky situation without a way to get help. Oh brother. Maybe I’ll learn. Probably not.
Anyways … onwards and upwards. The show must go on!

And right now, I am sitting at my computer, probably editing. You are lying in bed, on the toilet, bored at work … How can all these parallel things in these different places be going on. Think about some bull in china who is picking rice right now. Think about some düde in Nigeria celebrating his daughter’s birthday. It’s all going on.
